Lenny Kravitz is more than a Grammy Award-winner. The artist is also a designer, owner of Kravitz Design, responsible for hotels in Miami, Las Vegas, etc. The 58-year-old rock star also made a line of products from furniture to ceramic tiles. One of the most impacting personal projects is this Brazilian coffee plantation outside Rio de Janeiro.
Kravitz went to Brazil first on tour and fell in love with the country. Just after his tour, the rockstar visited the house and… well, now it’s his. The (now) home of Lenny Kravitz has a beautiful landscape, surrounded by mountains and waterfalls.
Two years after the buy, the singer came back to Brazil and acquired a nearly 1,000-acre spread to continue with the farm operations. The home is now a stress-free and relaxed place to welcome friends and family.
The renovation of the home of Lenny Kravitz
Originally a 19th century village, with Portuguese colonial-style farmhouses and outbuildings, Lenny turned it into guest rooms. Plus a gym, a pool house, and a recording studio. The renovation meant to brighten up the place and update the interiors.
Lenny Kravitz chose furniture by Brazilian renowned artists such as Oscar Niemeyer, Sergio Rodrigues, and Jorge Zalszupin. Along with Brazilian tiles and other local flourishes. Additionally, he added mid century furniture and some bespoke pieces from his own design company.
Along with his friends’ contributions, Lenny made his own statement in his house. But for the rock start, the renovations were about preserving the natural beauty of the Brazilian home. Know he can fully enjoy it.
