NFL quarterback Tom Brady and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen are a power couple. Since their marriage in 2009, the pair have jointly owned properties in Los Angeles, New York City, Tampa, Montana and Boston.
After announcing earlier in 2022 that he would be retiring, Tom Brady couldn’t say goodbye to NFL. Six weeks later, the quarterback confirmed he will return for next season.
With this decision, perhaps Tom Brady will spend more time at his Boston home. However, he and wife Gisele Bündchen accumulated, over the past decade, an extensive real estate portfolio.
To be fair, not all of these residences are their home but more an investment opportunity. However, all of them are high-end residences and that’s a good reason to take a seek peek in some of them.
The eco-conscious house in Los Angeles
Right after saying ‘I do’, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen moved to Brentwood, California. They build a eco-conscious mansion worthing $11.75 million. Designed by architect Richard Landry and interior designer Joan Behnke the property was fueled by two huge solar panels.
The goal was to create an house “as sustainable as possible” using reclaimed materials all over the property. In 2014, the couple sold the house to Dr. Dre for $40 million.
The luxurious home in Boston
In 2014, Tom Brady and Bündchen decided to build a similarly luxurious home in the Brookline suburb of Boston. The couple teamed up with Landry once again to custom build a 12,112 square foot mansion. Initially, the pair paid $4.5 million for a 5-acre property which later accommodated the mansion, a yoga studio, wine room, play room, gym and a guest house.
However, Bündchen confessed to Vogue that Boston was not her favorite place to live. “Cold is not my flavor. I’m Brazilian. I’d rather live barefoot in a hut in the middle of the forest somewhere.” Early 2020, the supermodel got what she wished for, when Tom Brady shifted to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Florida.
The Tampa Bay rented home
Differently from the years before, when the couple moved to Tampa they preferred a rental. But not any rental. They chose Derek Jeter’s home on Tampa Bay’s exclusive Davis Islands. The value of the deal was not revealed, but was estimated on $75,000 a month.
The english-style mansion had seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, an entertainment room and a swimming pool overlooking the water. Jeter purchased the home in 2010, but ultimately sold ir on May 2021.
An ultra exclusive property
The latest news on Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen properties is the purchase of a $17 million residence on ultra exclusive Indian Creek Island. Also known as the Billionaire Bunker, the island is also home of other famous celebrities, including Adriana Lima who sold her property in early 2022. Located just outside of Miami Beach, the 5,772 square foot mansion keeps the eco-friendly vibe as their other homes.
The Tribeca apartment as an extra
Besides the beach mansion, the couple also own a New York apartment worth $25.5-million. The five-bedroom property was located in Tribeca on a 12th-floor condo. It featured a gourmet kitchen, sweeping views and a private 1,900-square-foot terrace.
When Brady moved to the Buccaneers, the couple sold the apartment for $40 million, in December 2020. However, they kept a Manhattan residence, purchasing a smaller unit on the same floor, for $3.5 million.
